Experimental analysis on metamaterials boundary layers by means of a pantographic structure under large deformations

چکیده
In this work, the dynamical behavior of a pantographic structure undergoing large deformations is analyzed. A harmonic force applied on structure, while its motion in time recorded by means high-speed camera system. The resulting displacement field obtained via digital image correlation (DIC) method for whole domain. parametric study with respect to amplitude imposed exhibits appearance non-linear effects system response as well presence so-called boundary layer region. Such geometric nonlinearities are paramount interest studying accuracy potential computational model. Boundary layers known be effected microstructure, but their roles yet comprehended. experimental results work may used benchmark case modeling metamaterials.
